In 2012 elect a President-not a puppet
.Although I may not agree with the politics of all these men, I cannot disagree with what they have said.

People in the news arena keep telling us we live in a Democracy.
We do not live in a Democracy. We live in a Republic.  The Pledge of Allegiance says, ”and to the Republic”.  The Constitution says, “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government" (Article IV, Section 4). That doesn’t mean the Republican party.  Neither of those two says anything about a Democracy.  You can see that the framers of the Constitution had in mind only one thing, a Republic and the Republic is what I intend to restore.

The main difference you should think about is in a Republic YOUR RIGHTS ARE PROTECTED  by, in this case, the Constitution.   However we have gotten away from that principle and it's high time we returned.
In a Democracy, YOUR RIGHTS ARE NOT  PROTECTED.  It is true that the Republic has been democratized and we need to turn things around.

Now, the Democrats and Republicans in office  don’t give a damn about your needs, wants and desires, no matter what they say.  They tell you what they think you want to hear, what will get them elected, and when elected, turn their back on whatever promises they made.  The only thing on their agendas is to pass legislation that limits your freedoms and undermines the Constitution to bring this nation into a one world government  where we will all be slaves to that government.  One of the ways is to keep “borrowing” more and more money. When we borrow more money and put it into circulation, the money we have is watered down which lowers it’s buying power and thus we have inflation.  The secret no one tells you is that this money ( I’m talking the bailout) goes to the bankers.  The bankers can invest this money at full value because the money hasn’t entered the system yet.  Once the money is invested, it enters the monetary stream and with each hand it touches, is worth less.  Lets say all these newly printed dollars were worth a dollar.  That means the bankers could buy a dollars worth of gold for each dollar invested.  By the time that same money goes through about 3 or 4 hands, the bearer can now buy about 30 cents worth of gold for each dollar.  That is a pretty steep hidden tax on the American people.
When I was a young man I thought the unions were the blame for high prices.  They were always asking for higher wages and better benefits for their members and the prices kept going up.  Then I realized it isn’t the wages (although they do have some bearing) it was the value of the dollar going down.  The man at the store has to charge more because he has to pay more for his goods and the manufacturer has to pay more for raw materials.  Prices go up but the profit margins don’t necessarily change.
I would propose a dollar backed by silver.  That would keep inflation down and over time, lower prices.  We would have coins of silver, except the penny and nickel.   If we don’t do something soon the economy will collapse.  This was one of the reasons behind the big bailout - to hasten the collapse of the economy.  When we can no longer pay the interest on loans, we will lose our sovereignty and the United States of America will be no longer.

I have only one fear... that I will lose my country.  We have people writing books warning us what is happening.  People don’t buy the books, or if they do, don’t read them.  If they read the books, they don’t believe them saying, “that can’t happen here, this is America“.   Don’t be misled or misguided, it is happening here.  We have people on Conservative radio and TV but they won’t tell you what’s going on because they want to keep their programs.  I don’t owe any favors and don’t have to worry about keeping a program.  I will tell you exactly what’s going on, to the best of my ability.  But most of that will have  to wait.  If I put everything in now, there wouldn't be any reason for you to come back.
As I said, the major parties tell you what they think you want to hear.  I will tell you some things you probably don’t want to hear.  We are a country of Overfed, undereducated, selfish, arrogant, politically and economically ignorant people.  We live in the greatest country in the world and we know next to nothing about it and I include myself.
Education is a problem that needs a lot of attention.  Not only do they need to know the 3 R’s, our children should have an idea how our political system works, should have some knowledge of our economy and they need to be taught about the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and what they mean not only to them, but to all the people, and how they came about.  These documents ARE the United States of America.  Without them, who's to say what kind of country we would have.   As much money as we have thrown at the educational system, you would think our children would have a much more rounded education.   The dumbing down of America seems to be working as planned.  Our “leaders” don’t want the people thinking, they just want docile citizens that will do as they are told.  Sorry, that isn't me.

We are pretty much politically and economically ignorant.  We really don't think about what our spending habits are doing for the economy and probably don't care.  As long as we can work, get paid, and spend as we like that is all we need to know.   Economics is not an easy subject to wrap the head around but I try valiantly.

Most of us don’t want to be in politics or feel we don't have the education, the influence, or money so we are left to elect others, who have sold their souls, generally of the 2 major parties.  That’s exactly what they of the political machines want.   We are Given two candidates ( both of whom will do the same thing) just to make it look fair,  and we go along blindly voting for the lesser of two evils which is still getting evil.   But that isn’t where our duty ends.  We must pay attention to what government is doing and I admit that  it’s not easy with the media we have, with our work schedules and so forth.  But if we aren’t going to watch over our freedom, who is?  You can't expect "the other guy" to watch out for you.  It takes eternal vigilance to keep a free state.

I mention Freedom.  Yes you are free to choose a restaurant, movie, car or home among other things.  That is not what I am talking about.  Who, in the civilized world, doesn't have those same freedoms?  I am talking about your Rights.  You are losing your rights  and therefore you are losing your choices which means freedoms.  Any time the law says you must do something or else, you have lost freedom because your choice is gone and you are being controlled by a state.
Our Constitutionally guaranteed Rights is what set us apart from the rest of the world, why we could say," I live in the land of the free," and I will strive to return that land of the free.

On National Health Care.  We have been told, "If you have health insurance and you like it, then you can keep it", and the same for your doctor.  That is nothing but rhetoric and is said to make the plan more palatable to those who have health insurance.  President Obama has also said the health care plan could not add to the deficit.  How is he going to pay for it?  HIGHER TAXES!!   If you don't already know, if this plan becomes law, changes will be made so all of us will be under this plan without a choice.  There's that word again; choice or loss of freedom.  Once the government takes over it takes over completely.

Concerning drugs.  We have been fighting a losing war on drugs for about 40 years now.  Law enforcement is no closer to a solution now than when it all started.  It might be easier if the CIA wasn't bringing plane loads of coke in from Columbia.  The only solution I see is to take the money out of drug trafficking.  Make it legal.  Let's see what would happen.  Maybe there would be less use because people wouldn't be getting away with breaking the law and enjoying that.  To me it would be worth a shot.  This is another waste of taxpayer dollars we could save to help enforce the no personal income tax idea.  Personally, I don't use drugs.   I have never even tried them and have no idea what they will do.  I figure if I can't be high on life I don't need to be high.

About gun ownership.  As you all know the right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Bill of Rights as amended to the Constitution.  As I have said already, if guns are taken from law abiding citizens, only the criminals will have guns.  If you don't have guns how do you  intend to protect your wives, families, or property?  If the thought of  "it won't happen to me" soothes your conscience you are dreaming.  Do not blame the police for what might happen since they cannot prevent crime.  They are meant to deter crime and catch perpetrators after the fact.  I strongly suggest all families have at least a hand gun for protection.  Learn how to use it, yes.  Keep it loaded, yes.  Keep it away from children, yes.  If you never need to use it the children don't need to know you have it.
The right to keep and bear arms is a precious right we must never give up.  It was not only for militias but also for the people to fight despotism.  Now the despots have the Right so watered down it makes you a criminal if you do not store a weapon properly.  You are made a criminal if you store a gun loaded.  You're a criminal if you store the gun and ammo together or if you store a rifle with the bolt in it.  If you are a law abiding citizen and follow all the laws that have been passed,  a weapon would be useless to you.  That is what bad legislation has done to good people.  It makes criminals of otherwise law abiding citizens.
I would have these laws repealed so we can once again say, "I live in the land of the free".  This is not all for we have other righs in peril so I will make it my top  priority to have any laws infringing on the rights of the people repealed.

Seems like everything being done by the president and congress has to be kept secret for “National Security”.  Congress is going to want to ban guns for "national security“.  Now think about that.   Wouldn’t the country be more secure if people owned guns? In an article I read in the Vancouver Columbian, Vancouver, Washington, having to do with the war in Kosovo, a military officer was asked how they took a town as easily as they did and his answer was, AN UNARMED POPULACE IS EASILY OVERRUN.
That is the gist of what he said.  Those words are enough to make your blood run cold.  We should never give up our weapons and those who don’t have weapons should get them for your own protection.   National security has nothing to do with the laws being passed.   The war on terrorism is the war on your rights.  The Patriot act gives the government the right to tap your phone without your knowledge,  see what you are doing on the internet, search your home, office, car, purse, person, without probable cause,  without a warrant,  arrest you without charging you with anything, hold you without trial and possibly in a foreign country and more.  You say, " what about it I don’t have anything to hide."   That isn’t the point, your rights are being taken away and it’s ok with you because you have nothing to hide?   You need to fight for your rights not lay down and let them be taken away.   I have nothing to hide either and I want the bad people caught too, but my rights are too high a price to pay and I am hoping you feel the same way.

We have big problems and we need people who are willing to solve them rather than give them lip service.  We need someone who is not afraid to stand up for and protect the liberties of all Americans.   I see an America governed by the Constitution as the founders intended.  I see an America that is the only bastion of freedom on the planet.   We must defeat those who would enslave us.  It can be done at the polls or we can wait until an armed revolution is necessary.  Personally, I prefer the former but I will not shrink from the latter.

  Restore the free Republic

Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people.
John Adams

If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom, and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that too.
W. Somerset Maugham

The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight.
Theodore Roosevelt

Liberty has never come from
Government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of it. The history of liberty is a history of limitations of governmental power, not the increase of it.
Woodrow Wilson

History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.
John F. Kennedy

Man is not free unless government is limited.
Ronald Reagan

Secrecy is the freedom tyrants dream of.
BillMoyers

The Constitution shall never be construed... to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.
Samuel Adams

These people are very unskilled in arms... with 50 men they could all be subjected and made to do all that one wished.
Christopher  Columbus on the savages he encountered and how easy it would be to overrun them.

.

Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty's teeth.
George Washington

Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.
Abraham Lincoln

A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.
Thomas Jefferson

Our country may be likened to a new house. We lack many things, but we possess the most precious of all - liberty!
James Monroe

It's not tyranny we desire; it's a just, limited, federal government.
Alexander Hamilton

When men yield up the privilege of thinking, the last shadow of liberty quits the horizon.
Thomas Paine

The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them.
Patrick Henry

Equality, rightly understood as our founding fathers understood it, leads to liberty and to the emancipation of creative differences; wrongly understood, as it has been so tragically in our time, it leads first to conformity and then to despotism.
Barry Goldwater

Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
James Madison

I want you to think about something.   If your rights aren't important why is it so important to Congress to take them from you?

"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers it can bribe the public with it's own money"
Alexis de Tocqueville.
